The bubble gum mask! The Anesteologistcame in and gave Mika her mask that they would put over her face during surgery and asked her what it smelled like. After she discovered that wonderful buble gum smelll that thing never left her face. We love the silly Medicine
Mika in the pre-op playroom for children. She if you look at her hair you can see that she has different hair things and one pig tail braided and another one down. This was the half way point in the school year and so the children were mismatching clothes and doing different things to there hair on opposite sides. Before we left for the hospital we sent a picture to her teacher of her to share with the class on half day.

Update on Mika
Our little Mika is such a little trooper. She recently had surgery and we were so lucky to have Granny here to help us. Everything went beautifully (we chalk most of that up to the good luck of having Granny here). The only complication was after we came home and she started running a fever of 104.5, which obviously got better over the next few days. Today was her first day back in school, which she missed dearly. They have been doing a penguin unit for quite sometime and doing it at home with mom just wasn't as much fun. Tomorrow ngiht her class is having an open house so that the parents can see everything the children have been doing. The one thing that Mika enjoyed about being home was she had all the time in the world to lie around and read.
She has also been staying busy with girl scouts, ballet, tap, jazz, and gymnastics (which we will start back up in March)Trent and I just look at her and we can't believe how fast she is growing up. In October she will be turning 8! She is such a responsible little girl and is such a big help to me! I am so glad that she is the oldest. About a month ago I had a terrible headache and she asked me what was wrong. I told that mommy's head hurt and I was going to turn on a kids show and lay down on the couch. She insisted that I take some medicine and go take a nap upstairs while she babysat. It was so cute. To prove to me she could do it, she wrote up a schedule for Max and Pax, which included what games they would play, what stories she would read, what snack they would be feed alond with tally columns for how many times they were naughty and how many times they were good. She even wrote down and took notes of cute things that they did while I was lying down.
That is what I call a full service baby sitter!
We love her and are so grateful that we have her in our home. Pax man loves her so much and starts screaming with joy when her sees her.
here are some the latest pictures of her!

I had the most amazing time with the Anklebitters.
Mikayla was a trooper and I loved sleeping in her bed with her and talking and talking and talking to her at night.
Max was turning four and we had a party for him. He is dare devil and a natural on his skate board.
Paxton is adorable, and truly is baby properganda
Jenny and I did a huge puzzle that we bought for Mikayla and Trent would come home and cook the most amazing meals. It was a perfect visit.
